“Far and away, the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing”

-Theodore roosevelt

We have two new exciting work opportunities for teens at the ranch!

Mentor in Training (MIT) – This is a great opportunity for your teen to learn about working on a ranch and “get your hands dirty.” Teens will be doing hard work, sometimes on hot days. Farm work is physically challenging (and rewarding)! They will be tackling “big jobs” around the Ranch, such as fencing, mowing, splitting wood, building, or painting you name it! Teens should have the ability to stay focused, complete tasks, and work both independently and in groups.

Summer sessions begin June 13th and ends August 22nd. Fall Session One begins September 19th and follows the same schedule as the Ranch Immersion sessions.)

Mentor in Training (MIT) – The MIT position, is a volunteer opportunity for teens to learn, teach, and lead during the Ranch’s summer and homeschool sessions. They will gain experience working on a ranch, practice working with students, and they will learn how to lead activities . They will learn from and work alongside our summer and school year teachers as we educate kids aged 3 to 13 about farming, food, and animals. If your child would like to explore working with kids, farm work, outdoor education, or teaching, they might be a great fit as a LIT! Oak Hill Ranch only accepts a select few into our Leader in Training program.
